Muskoka Lakes Museum

Visit the museum to see our pioneer and marine displays, including an 1875 log cabin, old wooden boats and early gas engines, and early First Nations artifacts. Learn about Muskoka's grand old resorts, the steamships that shuttled people up and down the lakes, and the early cottaging history of the township. This season's Featured Exhibit is, "How the Telephone came to Port Carling, and Muskoka". It will include a working switchboard and old-style phones to try!
Located on James Bartleman Island Park, next to the locks, in the heart of Port Carling.
