Bala Falls Hydroelectric Project

As many of our members are aware, an important issue regarding a possible hydroelectric facility in Bala is receiving a great deal of attention. This is a very important issue with members of the Chamber of Commerce and the community. In order to remain effective, your Board of Directors at the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce has adopted the following policy.

The Board of Directors and the Chamber of Commerce will remain neutral and continue to collect information and listen to the views of others so that we can be informed. All Chamber members, including the Board of Directors will be free to express their own personal opinions. When requested, the Chamber will distribute information on times, dates and locations of public meetings, so that our members may attend and make their own informed decisions. It is the belief of the Board of Directors that we can provide the best service to our members by keeping you informed.
